How does PubliGen meet my web publication requirements?
PubliGen provides the full range of features to be expected from a content management software package: first, if used with an Extranet, it allows all general communication to be published on line, from whichever service or department within your, your partners’, customers’ or suppliers’ organization it comes from. PubliGen also provides for simple creation of document, procedural and Knowledge Management databases and features all the tools expected of a ‘light’ EDM software package. It can also be used as a platform in the development of an e-business site.
Very. PubliGen’s standard features meet all your requirements in terms of creating, managing and maintaining your web sites. Additional modules, including a Forum, Newsletter, Chat, Knowledge Management database and Quiz can all be incorporated at any point, allowing the package to be developed by your own services. At the end of a short period of training on PubliGen, developers and administrators operate entirely independently and can, for example, develop new templates (model documents), define new graphic layouts and create or implement specific web development within PubliGen sites. The scope for upgrading the site is unlimited.
Does PubliGen need to be installed on the content producers’ machines?
No.
PubliGen is a 100% web solution which does not require any installation on end-users’ or content producers’ machines. A simple Internet or LAN connection is all that is needed to manage and generate the sites.
PubliGen allows you to create a corporate portal which redirects users to the various sections of your inter/intra/extranet site. These sections are known as "sub-sites" and are managed in independently by teams of content producers. Each "sub-site" has its own autonomous and fully secure publication engine. Content producers publish and present information as they wish with the knowledge that your organization’s predefined graphic and ergonomic layout will be applied automatically.
No particular technical skills are needed: at the end of a short period of training, content producers can build and manage their site completely independently.
